After a competitive tender, Mentor Digital was chosen by the National Governance Association (NGA) to take their website forward into the new education landscape with a full re-design and build. Key aims of the project were to display their breadth of services, encourage membership and make content easy to find for all users. To achieve this, Mentor delivered:
- Stakeholder workshops with NGA’s senior team & trustees
- User Research interviews & questionnaire to NGA’s members
- Improved information architecture & optimised user journeys
- Wireframes, design concepts & prototypes
- Umbraco 10 CMS implementation
- Integration with a complex CRM
- Successful SEO migration
Mentor’s staff provided expertise, understanding NGA’s strategic objectives and ensuring a user-friendly website. They successfully overcame complex technical challenges, demonstrating expertise in the membership sector. Working with Mentor has been a really positive and rewarding experience.
The primary objective was to ensure an exceptional experience for members from onboarding to renewal by encouraging the utilisation of NGA’s wide array of excellent services. By using personalisation and locking down exclusive content, NGA are able to show the value in the services they provide to both their current members and prospective users.
The website was designed by Mentor’s award-winning creative team, and includes immaculate attention to detail throughout the site, incorporating micro-animations and a seamless user experience. The site includes a complex tagging, search and filtering system which is all powered by the CMS (Umbraco v10). Mentor also worked with the NGA team during the content migration to fully optimise the content on the site and monitor the website’s technical SEO scores to ensure a successful SEO migration and minimise the impact post launch.
