New Bristol Web Design Company Launched

Called Mentor Digital, the new Bristol based web design agency is a new division of the established Mentor Communications Consultancy in Lower Redland Road. It will provide a cutting edge web and interactive design and production service to business across the UK.

Headed by Holland Risley, Mentor Digital aims to do much more than simply deliver smart websites that reflect the required image.

Risley says: “We want to enable non-technical users to take full control of the way they communicate online. For instance, we’ve already developed e-commerce systems that enable online retailers to constantly update their on-screen catalogue without any technical input.

“We also intend to champion the delivery of digital video using the Internet, mobile devices and Interactive media and offer video streaming, and on-demand video delivery.

“For instance, a business leader can record a personal message to staff on a webcam and send it from a laptop to hand-held devices so that everyone is kept up to date with the latest information. We call it the two-click broadcast – because again it won’t require technical help once it’s set up.

“Just five years ago web sites could survive with just text. As bandwidth has increased, video websites have become commonplace and our vision is to allow people to become their own broadcasters."

Mentor Digital was launched at Bristol’s Watershed to a group of 50 influential Bristol business leaders with each given a USB stick containing information on the new venture.

The new division will draw on the resources of the Mentor Consultancy, which provides training and advice in dealing with the media and in presentation skills.

It means we can help with both the content and the delivery of digital media.”
