Bristol's top web design and creative agencies announce combined turnover

Bristol is the largest city in the South West of England and is a thriving hub of creative and web design agencies. The region has recently announced that its top 100 creative and digital agencies have an astounding combined turnover of over £0.5 Billion.

Bristol and the entire South West of the UK is well known as one of Europe's leading creative centres. The city is home to a multitude TV and video production agencies, acclaimed digital agencies, internationally renowned animation companies such as Aardman animations and major publishing companies. The wealth of Bristol's creative scene comes partly from its heritage as one of the original homes of the BBC. The organisation's world famous 'Natural History Unit' is located in the center of the city and many TV and post-production companies have sprung up over the past few decades. Many of them started by ex BBC staff and created to supply the BBC in the city.

The Top 100 SW Creative Companies League - 2009, showed an amazing £0.5 billion of combined turnover from agencies featuring on the list. The Top 100 guide was the first survey of all the TV, video, digital, publishing, PR, graphic design and marketing companies from across Bristol and the South West collated into one list, and listed by turnover.

2009 was a financially difficult year for many agencies in the region, but despite the economic climate, the sector has continued to expand and thrive and 2010 is already looking to be a record breaking year for the Bristol and SW web design and creative agencies.
